Pol Ponsarnau (1980) is a Catalan director and producer working and living between Berlin, Barcelona and México. BA+MA degree in Audiovisual Communication at UPF, with a scholarship at FAMU (Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts) in Prague, Czech Rep. and Master’s degree in “Art, literature and contemporary culture” at UOC.

In 2010 Pol moved to Berlin where he creates PolacosTV with Lukasz Polowczyk, a production company for music videos, online documentaries and web series with clients like Sony and Warner Music. Pol has an extensive career directing advertising for brands like Audi, Bimbo and Apple.
Since 2016 Pol works on narrative fiction projects. He directs the awarded “Food, First“, which premiered at Dresden International Film Festival and was selected at 80+ international festivals. His new short film “Tara and the Blue”, premiered at Abycine where it was awarded Best Shortfilm. Since 2020 he directs the online series Decoded with Hollywood actor Amr Waked for AlJazeera Media Networks which recently was awarded 7 Telly Awards including Gold for Online Series and Silver for Online Directing.
